HID Input using 2 guitar hero guitars

I am unable to use two guitars in qc. When i use the HID input, it only sees one guitar. Does anyone know if it is possible to use 2 guitars? I know that my computer sees BOTH guitars, i just cant get qc to see both. Is there a way to set the hid based on the location Id?

Re: HID Input using 2 guitar hero guitars

This is probably related to the Duplicate-cameras-in-the-Video-Input problem, where AppKit sucks and doesn't allow dropdown menus to have duplicate entries.

Can you take some screenshots of the HID inspector menu stuff, to see if that's the case?

Can you make a composition using the HID patch with 1 guitar, another composition with the other, and then copy/paste one HID patch into the other? (If the patch stores the ID rather than the device name, this might get both working as long as you don't mess with the inspector panel for those patches)

Re: HID Input using 2 guitar hero guitars

I tried making a different composition but that didnt work. QC defaults to the first guitar that is plugged in. If i unplug the first guitar then qc using the second one. There is a screen shot. If only there is a way to set the input based on the id. I see both guitars connected usb in the system profiler and preferences so i know that osx can see and use both.
