Stuart believe it or not i haven't got any working midi controllers in my house to test this or build a composition of what i 'think' you want, but try 'kineme global input All MIDI notes' patch (that comes with kineme's MIDI tools plugin?) . This patch outputs a structure of midi notes that you can feed into your iterator with all the cubes.
If that doesn't help or if i've misunderstood try and give us some more details on what you intending to do.
Hi Hextatic,
iterating midi notes is not a good idea.
I would suggest using the built in MIDI patch, and output each note to a Kineme Structure maker. Pipe the structure to the iterator and access it with 'iterator index' for instance. Hope this helps
Erm and the advantage of this nightmare wiring over using Kineme's 'Global Input All MIDI notes' patch (that automatically produces a structure) is ...? Am i missing something here * as stated can't test this as no Midi controller handy
can some one try and send a MIDI note using 'Global output MIDI note' ... i'm getting an instance qc crash, NSAutoreleaseNoPool() seems to be at fault
hmm, you might be on an old version of miditools, or we may not have released an update to it in a long time (I'm leaning towards the latter, personally) -- should be a simple fix, if it hasn't been fixed already.
i'm using MIDITools from jun 23 2009 - taken from the beta release section.
I've been playing around with this gem (miditools patches) for the last couple of hours, great to see how much its been developed since the original you did for me in Just Add Music all those yrs back Chris. Great work!

coz i recently had problems using KnM Midi tools under SL .... ( and also under Leo. , as the "fix" sometimes prevent my app from starting a comp. )
I just noticed that the problem is gone when using the built-in Midi patch from aapl.
