So, it looks like vimeo's giving original videos the Axe stating August 1st, 2009, for non-PLUS members.

If there are any interesting videos up there, you would do well to download them while there's still time. The transcoded version will remain available indefinitely.

Yeah, my question of who pays for all that massive serve space anyways is starting to get answered. Guess Threadless T-shirts ads aren't such a big earner after all :/

That's too bad. I suspect that the encoding for premium members might have slipped a bit as well, but I'm not entirely sure. If I upload something that's not HD, it looks very poor now, and I don't remember that... could be particular to a couple of clips I was trying though.

It seems that it is all too often that when things change, it's not for the better...

I better get to downloading!
