Force hierarchy broswer to come back ?

Don't know why since QC 3.0 the hierarchy broswer has been removed... However the link is present in the editor menu...Is there a way to hack QC to have it to come back !

goner...

I think the underlying functionality for this was actually removed from the QC application. So to hack it back in, someone would have to rewrite it from scratch. (I could be mistaken on this -- I didn't use it much at all on Tiger, so I'm mostly guessing that it's removed).

yano, can you send me some screenshots/notes of what it looked like/how it was used? maybe I'll try to add that to a future version of KinemeCore ;)

Thanks for your reply Chris

I must run tiger for this ! Oh yes i know, have it on another mac. The hierarchy broswer is cool when you have to jump from the root patch to one far in a "very nested hierarchy". Actually QC display a" hierarchy list" on the top left of the editor window, but it work just to go up....

Ok I have done Screenshots. (woo... the come back on Qc 2.0 was strange;) Here how it works : The broswer seem to display just macros patches: Image 1: clic on root patch The HB display macro Patches inside. Image 2 and 3 : Clic on one of the macros patches then the HB and the editor display wat is inside.

Ditto. I've mentioned this offline, but the current implementation of the hierarchy (if you can even call it that), is vastly inferior. If it's going to be as lame as it is, it may as well not be there, or it could be shifted back to the original idea (which actually helped users).
