DoF is very nice... I was actually working on a GLSL/CIFilter implementation of that technique Encelo mentions in that first link. I didn't really get it working, largely because of transparency issues, I think. I may try redoing it as a set of cascaded GLSL shaders, but I wanted to avoid having to Render In Image several times.
