Hardcore Bug on QC startup / help needed

Hi all, today, suddenly, i got this error on QC startup: "no backtrace avaiable"

console says: 11/5/09 2:16:25 PM Quartz Composer[711] Assertion Failure: !libraryStorageSubpath 11/5/09 2:16:25 PM Quartz Composer[711] File: /SourceCache/DevToolsKit/DevToolsKit-47/AssetLibrary/Controller/DTAssetLibrary.m 11/5/09 2:16:25 PM Quartz Composer[711] Line: 145 11/5/09 2:16:25 PM Quartz Composer[711] This method is being invoked after the library has been instructed to read its preferences. This method needs to be invoked earlier in the startup sequence.

I trashed DTAsset...plist in aplication support. The bug is still here.

Any help is truly welcome, as i didn't do anything special, and i'm in the middle of a project. Running on a MBP 3.06 unibody / 9600 / 10.6.1

Re: Hardcore Bug on QC startup / help needed

Simple fix: trash kineme core.

If you're feeling more adventurous (and want to help me track down what, specifically is causing this issue), drop me a PM and we can explore some tests (I reproduced this one, but then trashed everything and haven't been able to cause it again -- knowing what caused it will help ensure that it won't happen again).

Re: Hardcore Bug on QC startup / help needed

I'm not sure if you still have the problem but Is it possible that ~/Library/Application Support/Quartz Composer/ is missing?

Re: Hardcore Bug on QC startup / help needed

This one was a kinemecore bug (we tweaked the Patcherator before QC had initialized it under certain startup scenarios).

I temporarily trashed that folder (just to see what'd happen), and QC didn't seem to mind -- has that been a problem in QC4? (if so, I'll add it to the list of "things to inspect when QC's acting up" that I enumerate :)
