keyboard input forwarding to glyph/macros

hi everyone

i am developing an interactive "quartz font" that responds to audio, which needs multiple versions of macros (to enable spelling out words with more than one instance of the same glyph)...

i am making some progress with the help of fsk & smokris...

can anyone help with an explanation of just how the iterator patch works and also how i can "output an integer for each character" in the java patch that takes its input form the freeboard patch... and "feed that integer value to a Boolean Demultiplexer"...

any help and ideas or similar compositions, suggestion!!!
