Nested Iterators

Swiftlikeninja's picture

I am having a heck of a time getting nested iterators to work with the particle system patch. Currently I have 12 different iterators going through doing what I feel should be pretty simple to do using one set of nested iterators but every time I try its not responding properly. The only way I can get the correct results is by using all the separated iterators.

Im attaching my qtz so hopefully someone will be able to assist me. Im using the weighted grid generator and renderer from Here and using some ugly JS (cant quite wrap my head around JS nested loops either :P) and feeding the resulting structure into the iterators and just changing the source index for each of the iterators. My thought process is to nest the iterator and have the current index go to the source index and then it should step through the entire structure to do what all 12 iterators are doing, but again, Nothing usable It only appears to render one index of the structure.

Thanks in advanced

Kinect on OSX !

Hi there, Here is a begining for all those who dream about integrate the new Microsoft Kinect camera in Quartz Composer project: http://www.maclife.com/article/news/xbox_kinect_modded_work_mac_os_x?utm...

Please, please... Developpers, jump into that project ! Then our comps could have:

  • Z-depth real time video, mapping, detection, etc...
  • A "Z Threshold" to increase OpenCV detection...
  • A good HD Webcam + a basic stéréo Microphone...

After the WiiMote Patch, the Kinect Patch should mobilise us !

openCV: "locking" images to edges

jersmi's picture

I thought I would start a new post regarding the user bonoitlahoz's recent post using openCV to determine points to attach movie clips, here: http://kineme.net/forum/Discussion/DevelopingCompositions/CVToolsDetecti...

I am using benoitlahoz's comp as a starting point to approach one of those impressive tracking scenarios I see in zuga's work and many others -- I'd like to attach iterations of an image to the detected edge, then have the images behave as if attached to the edge as it grows, shrinks, travels, etc. I included my test movie with this comp. Any advice is appreciated.

opencv motion tracking

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone could enlight me about motion tracking and the kineme opencv patchs.

I have to create projections for a theatre show and id like to use quartz for it.

I need to track the silhouette of actors and project onto them only and avoid the background.

Is it possible with the opencv patchs ? I have read other threads about it, but I couldnt find anything to help me regarding realtime drawing the shape of the actors and use it as a mask.

Thanks. Jacob.

Human mapping

Hi all. I like to make something but i don't know how. i like to make "human mapping", with sensors in the musician's bodys, making "moving masks", maybe in quartz composer? with what sensors? its possible? maybe with motion detection? how a can make a movable mask in QC? thanks! marcos
