It's only lately occurred to me that the previously quoted alert on opening your file might be indicative not of the lack of a standard Audio Input patch, but possibly the lack of a custom patch of your own devising or clip of your own making.
It actually cycles through without audio input, but only really plays like it ought to with some audio coming in.
Whatever, :-), I think this iterates very nicely usually at 50 + - 60 fps, occasional dips as some patch is clicked through, down to about 27 fps.
Apropos audio input, I did place an audio patch onto the stage, got some action, although not necessarily by the same route you were no doubt appropriating some audio reactive loveliness.
I then re-examined my approach to kick starting the audio reactivity and came up with this patch structure, that I found gave me better reactivity. See attached picture.
