very awesome franz. was this the project that everybody pitched in for or did you put together all by yourself ?
i'm defiantly going to try and attend next year. i met a lot of cool people from borris's camp while i was helping raphael via remote last year. actually matais and i have been working on some projects that stemmed from this festival.
im doing a show with raphael this weekend in rhode island called "pixelerations". i highly doubt it will compare to the mapping festival seeing its in the states. (it seems there is more of an audience for this type of thing in europe) but should be fun.
im putting the third and final movement of the audio together right now. raphael wanted an orchestra feeling for the music so i built a multi-touch ipad orchestra today. wish i had one or 2 more hands, had to go with the multi-timbral approach as i don't have enough fingers for all the instruments. the good thing though is i can't hit a wrong note. ;)
not sure what the visuals are going to as raphs in the other room ripping some clips. so far the imagery looks sexy though.
the workshop featured much more works, notably from the TagTool guys, Memo and other video artists.
This is the part of the workshop 1024 was responsible for. (the building part at least). More info on the mapping festival website.
Interesting! How was the wiimote used?
to trigger different settings, lights and simplex values (analog way !), all from a couch.
