Thanks. I wanted the visual to be highly geometric and driven by the music. I wanted to get as much as I could out of intensifying things like line weight, bloom, or kinds of motion (rotation, rotation, hard cut), sparseness or density of stuff on screen, etc.
In the song, the first break that goes into the middle section is solidly inspired by Hall and Oates "I Can't Go For That" ;)
cool, i always love it when people are making there audio visual compositions. it seems your exploring a little different musical territory GT. have you traded your guitar in for a synth ?
No, haven't traded guitar in for a synth. I have the Roland XP80 I bought my freshman year of college ;) Piano was my first instrument.
After working on a project for deadmau5 this year, I was inspired to shift back to more electronic music like I was making in my early 20's for a little bit. It's facilitated my procrastinating on recording a bunch of songs that I would have to take the time to record my vocals and acoustic drums on.
Smooth sounds.
Seriously "simple" [•~] , apt & effective graphics.
Cool tune.
