AJA IO LA Firewire with QC?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has experience hooking up a AJA IO LA Firewire (composite) to QC? Would it just work as an video input to use as a live stream inside QC, and will it have a lower latency then for instance a canopus ADVC55?
