Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D

I have a composition that uses the Video Capture patch. For some reason the Video Capture patch sees all of my cameras and capture devices, but can't see the Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D. Does anyone know how to:

a) make the Video Capture patch recognize the UltraStudio 3D?

b) use a different patch to pull in the UltraStudio 3D?

Thanks for the help!

Re: Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D

The ultra studio 3D, under Quicktime, is a legacy capture device. Only a single channel of the dual channel (and only single stream, non 3D (read, left eye only), pre HDMI 1.4 sources) will show up in Quicktime

Because its a "Legacy Device", you must use Quicktime in 32 bit mode.

Stay tuned for alternate solutions.

Re: Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D

Hmm.. That's super helpful. I was able to get Video Input to see and properly use the Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D if I start QC in 32 bit mode. CamTwist is a 32 bit application, so I figured I was all set. However, when I run my composition inside CamTwist, this camera seems to get locked for exclusive access by either the Video Input patch, or by CamTwist. With in 64bit mode with other cameras, I have not seen this issue. FaceTime, as an example, works in both CamTwist and the QC comp using the Video Input patch, (that runs CamTwist) while in 32 bit mode. My ADVC-110 worked in both at the time time too. So, I'm a little further along, now I've run into another problem. Any ideas how to get around this issue?

@vade, I'd love to hear more about the alternate solution and timing. I'm kind of in a pickle right now.

Thanks!

BTW.. I'm fine with just seeing a non-3D, single channel. For me, that's all I need.
