Drawing a Spiderweb

This is an ask for tips, indications, ideas = help.

I'm quite a newbie, although a while reading posts, little time to work on QC, hope this changes now.

I have a project in some weeks, in which I want to give an abstract body to voices: criticizing that typical (in latinamerica) whistles and sounds made to women, I want to visualize a crescendo of that sounds with a growing web of white lines which invade the space, following an actress. Have a EMU25 keyboard as midicontroller.

I was thinking that the lines should appear kind of one by one, then in groups, controlling their X and Y with the 16 knobs on my controller. But I have no clue of the logic to make that crescendo.

Thatfore, I am looking for everything which has to do with lines. Help would be welcomed....

Try making a spiral [structure or iterated line ] whilst running a concurrent process for creating a series of segments or lines to cross over that spiral - Iterations look like the perfect fit.

Thank you, Cybero. Talking of iterations: I have to study more that basic generating functions. Well, to be true, maybe spiderweb is the wrong word. I want a lot of straight lines, just x and y, like tron. I think it is more agressive. One line starts, goes a while in x, then in y, then x (like searching the body of the performer), then a second comes, and so on until the wall is full. How to control it live.... was thinking in movement recognition of my own webcam to sense the y or y, and then, to make it a while straight, a delay. hm. Or easier a tablet.

Re: Drawing a Spiderweb

Ok, have found a solution. The aim was to give the sensation of lines taking a space (a dark room invaded by sounds and then this lines giving a body to it). So i had to control manually many single lines. The solution (after looking also at iterations, thnx) was the Kineme GL Line Stucture. I took from Particle Warfare the line control, adapted it to my midi-controller (to assure that y and x go straighter than with other interfaces) and replicated it. Beginner stuff, shure it can be made with less patches, but well, wanted to post it anyway, maybe it helps beginners like me.

Greetings from Mexico right now
