mesh object to kineme 3d

Is there a way to convert a mesh object and use it as a Kineme 3d object? Even if it is necessary to export a mesh object as a structure and bring it back in as a Kineme 3d object.

I basically want to try and use George Toledo's interactive mesh handels patch, see attached, and smooth the result. I have tried to remake the patch using the Kineme 3d stuff but I cant get it to work. Anyone any ideas?

The Kineme3D plugin doesn't expose vertex/normal creation from structures or number input. I may be wrong but I don't think it can be remade using the Kineme3D patches.

It's probably possible to rig something like this using the GL Quad or Triangle structure patches though...the output of the spooky might be able to plug right into a gl quad structure patch.
