LinesmART

LinesmART is a free app i made with some qc image filters. It produces a really nice line art rendering. Its number two of top free apps for graphics and design right now... i'm right next to autodesk sketch book. which i find pretty wicked awesome.

i have a more pro version of this that i'm still working out some bugs. it lets you touch up the line art with a line pen and has smudge and clone stuff like that. just got to make a plugin to store all the presets and save data down.

Nice free application, like you say , it has some areas you're looking to improve upon and you'll no doubt be picking up on the constructive pointers made elsewhere .

Works really well, though the disproportioning of the initial image belies how well the proportions of the original are retained when saving one's chosen image.

Re: LinesmART

thanks cybero. i wanted to offer something useful for free. didn't really even think the preview canvas being stretchy was going to be that much of an issue for people. i like to check out what other proportions look like before changing them.

with iOS its much more of an issue as you have to deal with the portrait and landscape rotations of the device and design you app accordingly. i'm glad that seems to be the only major issue as its a supper easy fix.

you got a nice pic going there cybero. i have found larger images produce a better effect overall and particularly with faces. although with some tweaking a low res portrait can come out decent. i have found pictures of nature to look amazing. it all depends on what your going for you can defiantly make some abstract things as well
