augmented vision

just thought i would share some recent explorations into augmented vision. av is a newer form of augmented reality that is set from the first person perspective.

the next step is to incorporate a 3d stereo image with 6 degrees of freedom using vuzix 960 hardware.

the idea is to make this ubiquitous, wearable, fashionable, and immersive hardware. sort of like a terminator vision.

i believe your thoughts create your reality, and terminator vision is perfect proof example of our science fiction thoughts creating the reality of today.

the challenging part in bridging the cross between reality and augmentation in the first person perspective is that your in front of the object.

so when you reach out for an object your hand needs to be on top of the object where as in traditional augmented reality you see a mirror of your self that is behind the object so there is no need for an extra overlay.
