Do all QC images use linear interpolation?

I think linear interpolation is what it would be called -- it's how the image looks when downsampled a lot. Are there any other options for "smoother" looks (spline or something)? See pics. It's the way the random generator looks when cropped to 12w x 6h.

It's actually "bilinear" (because it's linear on 2 axes), but the idea's accurate :)

You could make a custom shader (or perhaps CI filter) that does bicubic or sinc filtering. It'd be slower, but entirely possible.
