audio driven animation Quartz

marioepsley's picture

I'm sure this is possible but can't quite figure it out on my own.

I want to import an audio file (mp3) and hook it up to a spectrum so i can use the high, mid and low attributes to drive an animation.

I was also wondering if it would be possible to then render out this animation using Quartz Crystal?

Thanks in advance.

Re: audio driven animation Quartz

Yeah, absolutely, see

http://kineme.net/forum/Applications/AudioVisualizations/NeonAudioProces... - which is using the iTunes visualizer protocol

also - regards using Quartz Crystal, a good idea to then switch from iTunes protocol to using Kineme Audio Tools .

There's plenty of good advice upon prior threads about this same subject.

See http://kineme.net/composition/cybero/TurbulentGradients for an OpenCL based exploitation of audio data

& finally take a butcher's hook at this attached from http://kineme.net/forum/Applications/AudioVisualizations/NeonAudioProces...
