FFGLQC

Yo - thought I'd mention the FFGLQC Plugin vade and I wrote as part of our FreeFrame integration work for Vidvox a while ago. It loads FreeFrame GL (and old-style FreeFrame 1.0) effects in QC - it's sitting there with almost no downloads, perhaps some of you will be interested in it...

Re: FFGLQC

I mentioned this to Vade... right now, it's input ports aren't restoring. If I signal QC to crash (and trigger the save at that point via Kinemecore), I can "get" input ports to restore/save into a file.

It manages to load some frf files that the Apple example patch doesn't so that's pretty cool!

More details please - system version, FreeFrame plugins you're using with links if they're available online, inputs you're connecting

Re: FFGLQC

Ensure you install it to Plug-Ins, not Patches (this is not a skank API plugin).

Re: FFGLQC

Ah, this precompiled version seems compiled as 32 bit only. I'll talk to Tom and we can fix that for the download.

Re: FFGLQC

FreeFrame only permits 32-bit plugins at the moment, so that's why it's 32-bit only.

Could someone who's having problems opening saved compositions please provide some details about the system version and FreeFrame plugins they're using?

So, you're saying qtz's actually restore properly on some systems?

-10.6 or 10.7. 32-bit runtime. -Freeframe plugins at Library/Graphics/FreeFrame Plug-Ins (the trad place that the Apple Freeframe Plugin required frf's to be at). -Any frf's. I could link, but it's irrelevant. -Video patch to image input on any loaded frf, though any connections would break, because the patch reloads at square one when QC/the qtz in question is opened.

I thought maybe the input ports that are being spawned weren't being saved, or that file import was wiping them out... that something was not being done, or being done out of order/predicated on something being present that QC doesn't "see" at the appropriate moment. I hadn't looked at the source yet.

Re: FFGLQC

No, I'm wrong. I just tried out "vectorize", and it was fine.

Here's an frf that's problematic. I thought it happened with more than just this, but this probably just stood out, and I thought it "just happened" all the time (incorrectly).

thanks George... we do test this stuff. I'll take a look at the plugin you posted when I have a moment.
