Quartz patches are not working after 10.7 installation I wanted to migrate all my patches from 10.6.8 machine to 10.7 machine. But the compositions are not working and QC is quieting every time. QC default patch is working, however, I cannot have billboard or sprites there too. Any help is highly appreciate. Another question is where should I transfer all the library plugins to? Regards |
I also install QC from the developer site again on 10.7. This time, unlike last time, I had to place the application "QC" to the application folder. I remember last time it was automatically installed on the "Developer/Application" folder. IS this a problem.
Can somebody help me, please and tell me what should I do to make my all previous compositions working on this new machine with 10.7 on it.

Install the latest version of Xcode for 10.7 if you haven't already done so.
Install the Quartz Composer found as part of the Graphics Tools packages on Mac Dev Center.
The plugin and patches folders remain situated as before, if you are on a new installation then you'll need to install the plugins afresh.
Check them out in a methodical fashion.
Quartz Composer can be installed into the Applications folder.
For making compositions work in QC on 10.7 do as advised above regards fresh installation and so on.
If you've got any OpenCL stuff make sure the kernels all have unique names and don't employ main.
Some switching between 32 and 64 bit might be required.
