@PascalV: Are you referring to Kineme KinectTools, or a different Kinect plugin? Did you follow the Installation Instructions listed on the page I linked? After installing, did you try opening the KinectTools sample compositions?
Specifically what error messages are you getting? Please also check the Console logs (Applications > Utilities > Console) for Quartz Composer messages.

If so, please disconnect all USB devices, then plug the Kinect in, and try running the KinectTools sample compositions, and let me know whether that works.
What's the model number of your Kinect? (You can find it on the tag on the base of the Kinect. It's probably either 1414 or 1473.) One of the libraries used by KinectTools has an issue with Kinect model 1473.

Hello, I use the kimene kinect Patch (Version 3) with the kinecttools sample composition. The viewer say no kinect connected, and the console say :

I have a kinect pluged in the usb of the mac with a power supply. It work with synapse so i dont think it come from the kinect and the connection.

Hello, I use mac os 10.8.2 and kinect tools 0.3 i try with all usb device disconnected and always the same result : "no kinect connected
