kineme is a new kind of real-time interactive distributed multimedia sequencing software.

it allows one to interactively process and blend stills, video, and audio, both from disk and streamed from live sources.   each machine in the cluster can process different sets of media in different ways, and modulation parameters can affect multiple machines at once.
