Re: Community Rules

good one franz. i think vade posted that link before, as i have read that faq before and there are some really good points made there that i am sure i have violated before. i find this site funny in reference to a STFW forum reply.

i haven't actually ever got this link in a response before but clicked on it one day thinking it was going to give me the answer i was searching for. although comical, and possibly necessarily harsh it does however defiantly make a valid point.

i would say i do not particularly obey all authority posed upon me either overtly or subvertly by the powers that rule world right now. however i do think a mutual community respect and guideline is a wonderful idea and i can not help to think that i might have spawned this sort of moderated action by kineme. i'm pretty sure i have been the first person to receive a warning on kineme. so if you are the type of person that is strictly opposed to rules i must apologize to you, to any parties i have ever offended and to the community as whole. i would say rules are meant to be broken and even though there probably hasn't ever been a rule that has not been broken, rules are a necessary component to any community. particularly if you want the community to thrive and positively progress.

so cudos to community rules. this is a wonderful open community even if there are rules now. lol

I think it was Foulcout who said 'You can break the law but you can't break the rules'. If I remember him correctly I guess he was referring to man made systems of exchange and authority. I would turn it on it's head and say 'you can break all the rules but you can't break the law — Natural Law the universal truth that as you sow, so you shall reap'. Time frames for observances of this truth may be minutes, days, years, lifetimes, world cycles (big-bangs) or anything I left out. It operates on planes of existence we are not even aware of, but beings from those other places tells us it's just as true there too ;-)

If Foulcout said it the other way like I'm saying it, apologies to his loved ones. Either way I'm just repeating others much more wise than me.

I really like that, but I'm not sure it jives with the rules here :-) Maybe?

Re: Community Rules

I think catb.org's smart-questions guide is somewhat pertinent in a generic fashion to almost any software product and / or coding forum. Of course, one should refer directly to the stated rules of whichever forum one is posting to.

Thank-you. Good start for a new era of mutual respect.
