Just a fyi, the patch doesn't work if you have Leopard if you have a Macbook 4,1. You need the Snow Leopard drivers to enable this device.

Re: Multitouch macbook 4,1

thats strange because the multi-touch track pads where working previous to snow leopard. with SL apple released the light box example exposing the multi-touch API which subsequently is coded basically the same as the iphone multi-touch is. there is a program out that sends the multi-touch pad data to TUIO go to tuio.org or search "tongseng" that might work with leopard not sure i'm not running leopard anymore. you would have to ask chris if a leopard build of there multi-touch pad would still work i have no idea but you could give tongseng a try and just structure out your touch data with tuio.

Re: Multitouch macbook 4,1

I assumed it was just Leopard after talking with Steve. However, it looks like Macbook 4,1 doesn't have multitouch (I upped to SL) afterall. I didn't think they did, but was surprised to hear that it might work.

The new polycarbonate unibody Macbook will have a multi-touch trackpad. The now re-branded aluminum Macbooks also have them (now Macbook Pros).
