KinemeCore 0.5.1 new installation to system not detected on 10.5.8 MacBook ProProblem: I downloaded the latest KinemeCore installer and ran it. This was my first time installing KinemeCore -- it was not replacing an earlier install. Installation put the KinemeCore.plugin file in my /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/ directory with admin permissions, however the K menu did not appear in QC (or any other sign the plugin had loaded), even after relaunch, reboot, and reinstall attempts. Solution: Most of my Kineme patches are actually installed in /Users/MyUserName/Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/. As an experiment, I tried manually relocating the plugin there and authenticating. Relaunched QC, and the K menu appeared! So far things all appear to be working correctly. Cause? Not sure if the issue could be:

The installer for 0.5.1 incorrectly protects a few files (for completely unknown reasons -- I rebuilt it and it stopped doing that without any actual changes by me?), which makes QC skip it over under certain circumstance -- we're finishing up testing on another installer to work around these issues.
Glad you got it up and running -- the plugin actually belongs in /Library, not [username]/Library, but it should work fine in either location.
If you continue to experience problems, please keep us posted. If you'd like to beta-test the latest installer (to help us know whether or not it's working correctly), please let us know (info@kineme.net)
Excuse me, sorry some body knows what it's mean?:

Are you in 10.5 and are trying to open up a 10.6 file?
BUT, in any event, even if you were in 10.6, that file wouldn't work, because the mesh bend that is used in the virtual patch for "page flip" doesn't work anymore. At best, you would see the little coil, and no pages.
Did this happen without kinemecore installed? It reads like another issue (but you never know).
If you're actually in 10.6, reboot your system, make sure you're opening up QC4 (NOT the old QC3). If it still does that, try removing k-core, then restarting QC (making sure that you have DEFINITELY turned QC off). Then, if you're still getting this, it sounds like your frameworks may have gotten damaged somehow...
