error

I keep getting random errors when i open a composition in QC (not always). I thought I fixed one composition (which was giving similar errors) since I havent got an error in the last 2 days, but today, opening a new blank composition at start up I got this:

0x938cc8a7: -[NSCarbonMenuImpl performActionWithHighlightingForItemAtIndex:] 0x938cc4ef: -[NSMenu performKeyEquivalent:] 0x938cad94: -[NSApplication _handleKeyEquivalent:] 0x937e7ac7: -[NSApplication sendEvent:] 0x0000e41d 0x93744fe7: -[NSApplication run]

the errors I got before where similar, but a little longer... I do not have a copy of the text know, but if i get them again I will post them with the qc comp.

Any help will be greatly appreciated... I actually reinstalled the system and the developers package trying to fix this. Maybe is a plug-in what is causing this?

thanks

OK

I just opened again a brand new blank and got this

0x938cc8a7: -[NSCarbonMenuImpl performActionWithHighlightingForItemAtIndex:] 0x938a94ba: AppKitMenuEventHandler 0x9505413d: DispatchEventToHandlers(EventTargetRec*, OpaqueEventRef*, HandlerCallRec) 0x9505357b: SendEventToEventTargetInternal(OpaqueEventRef, OpaqueEventTargetRef*, HandlerCallRec) 0x9506fecc: SendEventToEventTarget 0x950a41e7: SendHICommandEvent(unsigned long, HICommand const, unsigned long, unsigned long, unsigned char, OpaqueEventTargetRef*, OpaqueEventTargetRef*, OpaqueEventRef) 0x950ca959: SendMenuCommandWithContextAndModifiers 0x950ca914: SendMenuItemSelectedEvent 0x950ca82a: FinishMenuSelection(MenuData*, MenuData*, MenuResult*, MenuResult*, unsigned long, unsigned long, unsigned long, unsigned char) 0x950a7494: MenuSelectCore(MenuData*, Point, double, unsigned long, OpaqueMenuRef, unsigned short*) 0x950a6e7f: _HandleMenuSelection2 0x950a6cf3: _HandleMenuSelection 0x937e5e67: _NSHandleCarbonMenuEvent 0x9374cbc2: _DPSNextEvent 0x9374bf88: -[NSApplication nextEventMatchingMask:untilDate:inMode:dequeue:] 0x93744f9f: -[NSApplication run]

Thanks!

Re: error

Are you on Snow Leopard (guessing that's a yes) -- if so, try removing KinemeCore and see if that helps -- there's a bizarre bug where certain settings will cause stuff like this to happen still. I'm looking into it.

If it's not KinemeCore, please provide information on what other plugins you have installed, etc etc.

Re: error

I am actually using leopard. I erased QC preferences and I have not seen the error again, later i will post a list of my plug-ins...or report on any new developments. Very busy at the moment. Thanks Christopher!
