Field rendering for Quartz Crystal

Hi,

I'm looking for ways to use Quartz Compositions in broadcast environment and field based rendering would be very useful feature for Quartz Crystal. Of course I can later use some other software and turn 50/60 fps progressive files to 30/25 fps interlaced files but it would save me one step :D

Compressor?

I guess Compressor can turn progressive files to interlaced files but at least Episode Encoder can do it and of course Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Motion etc.. I was just thinking about rendering fields straight from Quartz Crystal. It would save me some time.

Unlikely --- Quartz Composer itself has little in terms of support for broadcast standards; this is (IMO) properly delegated to broadcast-specific tools.

You can, however, render from the commandline using QuartzCrystal, so if you're batch-processing a bunch of stuff for broadcast, you can put together a shell script / Automator workflow to render with the necessary settings in QuartzCrystal, then automatically postprocess it with another commandline tool to weave frames into fields.

Yeah I'm thinking about possibility of using Quartz Crystal and automated batch processing for converting some Quartz Compositions to movies with alpha (at specific time everyday). And I guess my best bet is to use for example automated Episode Encoder to turn these files to interlaced files. Okay thanks for all the information!
