Quartz ComposerOutside Viewer window renderingI think the answer to my question is going to be 'No', but here goes... Can we manage to create QC works that animate both within and without of the viewer window. I haven't tried this with the WebKit plugin, but it might work. I'm thinking of this sort of work http://vimeo.com/9194146? - no product placement on this post - but it is an advert [Salsa]. New book!http://www.quartzcomposer.com/quartz-composer-with-opencv-book Awesome book about Quartz Programming.
QC Auto Class Stubbing or Code Generation of QC Contexti have always wanted code stubbing or code generation from a qc file. not sure if this is a duplicate request or not, or how feasible a hack like that would be but to be able stub out or auto class generate a qc file much in the same respects as you would do with UML some really complex systems could be made very fast especially if implementations where generated as well as get set properties kind of like modeling with core data i guess but in qc related context. i'm sure there would be some privacy issues and this would have to be a hack but maybe its possible. any thoughts
iPadso just a general iPad topic... i went to the computer store today to check the iPad out. its so much cooler than i thought it was going to be. i was bummed out no snow leopard etc... but given the exponential rate at which processors are growing in two years from now one would think that the iPad could do what QC4 does today but in two years QC will be at 5 or 6 and probably still not run. lol but given that logic that would mean we could run qc2 now. defiantly a must i think is qc in the tablet and phone forum. regardless of the lack of quartz composer all the other mobile PC computers and laptops in the computer store just looked archaic next to the pad regardless of how big you can make a laptop screen and how fast nvidia chips are on pc, aesthetically there is no comparison.
Post 10.6.3 - Interface Degradation IssueThis might be Safari related, might be Quartz Composer related, but I've been experiencing occasional, but severe interface degradation issues following the 10.6.3 update. A pity, and I have tried the usual housekeeping & maintenance including the Combo Update and the post installation maintenance check routines, but still get a difficult to capture interface regression, just loading top sites and having Quartz Composer. I had half suspected the installation of Many Cam but having checked that out am left with just 10.6.3 and no further specific idea. Doesn't happen with any OpenCL breakdown or any specific technology - just seems to bubble up from the frameworks and proceed to regress the interface and do so by means of painting some interface grabs over every window. However it does often as not happen after a restart of QC following some sort of OpenCL hiccup. Having iTunes visualising does seem to speed up the arrival of such an interface foul up. Happens , difficult to reproduce and harder to capture as Shift Enter 3 doesn't seem to work when this is happening.
