Comunicate between 2 compositions

apple pi's picture

Hello, I have this composition I've been working for some weeks, and it has a problem that I just can't find a way to solve. I'm going to try to explain it as simply as possible. I'm using 2 (equal) displays connected to a Mini Mac (one through the mini port, the other through the hdmi). In one display I show some AR (6 six different markers) output, and in the other one I show information about the respective activated marker. The composition is going to a museum so it has to be running all the time. Because of that, I'm using QC Builder so I can "autorun" the application generated. The problem is that I don't know how to make it span the 2 displays. I thought about splitting the composition in two and run one in display 1(the AR result) ,the other in display 2(the additional info) and make one communicate/activate the other, but I have no idea how to "link" two separate compositions (or even if this makes any sense at all :)

Can anybody help?Is there any other well known alternative?

Thanks in advance

Quartz Composer Visualizer scaling problem

apple pi's picture

Hello everyone, I have this composition that I want to span through 2 monitors. There are lots of animated image buttons, that are in real size setting in the billboard patch. But when I use the QUARTZ COMPOSER VISUALIZER , it scales up every image on screen, when it stretches to both monitors. What can I do to avoid this unwanted scaling? Thanks in advance

quartz builder screens

Hello,

I'm having trouble to display 2 exported applications in two different displays plugged to one single macmini. The mini has two screens each connected to a DVI and a mini display-vga port. I'm using the fullscreen option in the builder template plus the fullscreen Display screen in the advanced settings in QuartzBuilder. I expect to see one app in Display 1 and the other app in Display 2 but both are sent to the same display. It looks like display 1 is sending the app to a secondary screen. The apps are simple looping slideshows so i'm not worried about performance etc.... simply show each app in each display.

If I select fullscreen in the template and nothing in QuartzBuilder settings the app grows to fit the screen but still has visible menus and a top bar plus the Dock is still there. If I choose fullscreen in the template and Display 1 in QB then the app goes to the second display in full screen. If I choose nothing in the template and nothing in the advanced settings of QB then I get a small window in display 1 with part of the composition.

thanks for any advice.
