Fade in/out image slideshow from folderHey guys, I was trying to accomplish the easy fade in/out image slideshow from a folder. Managed to do it, but the hard way. There must be way simpler then mine. So this post is double intended: 1 - Share the file so people can use it if needed 2 - Any improvements, ideas, help is welcome … Cheers PS: This composite uses no Kineme custom patch as it is intended to work on any mac without the plugins installed

Hey guys,
New version, less memory usage I guess, smoother.
But still not simple.
I know I have to use the "Dissolve" patch, but haven't figure out how yet how to push the images in the right order to it.
Improvements welcome, else, enjoy
Got to make a Dissolve patch version …
However, I think the animation is better using alpha values. And this patch makes a noise on my MBP when switching value :)
Back again, new revamped version
Transition using alpha value of 2 billboard patches
Choose automatic or manual play
Choose normal or schuffle the images (Uses the javascript code from useful design (http://kineme.net/users/usefuldesignau) from the post here: http://kineme.net/Discussion/DevelopingCompositions/Structureshuffling)
Choose image show duration & transition duration

But guys, why does this simple thing seems so complicated to me ? Am I doing it totally the wrong way ? What should I use ? An accumulator patch ? An iterator and play on the alpha values ?
Credits appreciated if used, improvements welcome
Cheers

I made a slideshow using images from a folder.
• I used wave generator patches to define the moment to change the images and to apply the fade with a fade patch
• Images are shown in 2 sprite patches
• Images are shown in shuffle order (I also used the javascript code from http://kineme.net/Discussion/DevelopingCompositions/Structureshuffling)
• Choose the image show duration in seconds
• The image transitions are more smooth and slower
I hope this composition can be used by anyone who is still using QC these days :)
