XML Woes I am certain that this falls to user error, as I have only scratched the surface of what is possible with QC thus far. I am wondering how to delay loading of XML files. I have created a dashboard that makes several hundred XML calls to a server that feeds it information that will be displayed on a dashboard. It works, but my problem lies in the fact that making all of these requests at once is causing them to time out. I will attach errors from debug. They load sequentially from the patch order, and usually if I quit QC and load the composition fresh, it will load all the way through. I have set different refresh rates with wave generator, so they all update at different times to reduce load, but initial load is still a problem. When used as a screensaver, it hardly loads any of the XML data. Is there a difference between running as a screensaver and as a composition? can I delay the XML calls? I could upload the composition, but it will not work unless you have an authenticated login to our server, so you would see just the dashboard but no data being called. I guess what might be a fix, is to have a different loading sequence, or delayed loading for the first load, but then to allow the waver generators to keep continual uploads working smoothly.
