Mesh Normals & Mesh Vertices Display

Might be a really dumb question, but am I alone in not getting the Mesh Normals Display to work whatsoever.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but although I can get good results from the Mesh Vertices Display, the Mesh Normals just doesn't render.

Is it a patch awaiting a Mesh input port :-) ?

How weird! It almost seems like that one did have an input port at some point. Now I'm really curious.

Oh right , not just me then - and I thought I was alone in obtaining OpenCL & Mesh functionality by the use of comment out and other surgical techniques.

Perhaps this , in effect, is an amputee following some of the still fairly recent OpenCL / Mesh related updating.

LOL - at least it lists in the Patch Library & appears on the stage :-) .

That's funny. That's ironically redundant perhaps, unless its meant to be some sort of environmental modifier - a Normals room fragrancer ~ .

Well I've finally gotten around to assuming less completeness of the contents of the System / Library / Graphics / Patches folder. I have brought the default install of Mesh Normals Display.qtz as of 19th May 2009 [file stamp date] back into working shape. It was nothing more than an unpublished port in the originating clip .qtz that was the cause of the mysterious disappearance.

It's all Apple's code, but I'm pretty sure they won't mind this being uploaded, or even brought to their attention. Here for completeness in certainly 10.6.2 , is Mesh Normals Display.qtz .

At least I think its Apple's code, also although re-installing the custom clip got me mesh normals display again, unlike a lot of other Quartz Composer Patches in that folder, its input port is still not published green when examined in QC Editor.

That makes sense. I KNEW I had used that when it first came out and thought of it like using polygon mode (line setting) or something.
