Broken Intesity video inputHi! I just moved my Intesity Pro card to a new 2010 machine. Under SL it shows up in Blackmagics own captureware and Quicktime Pro, but QC does not see it, neither Video Tools nor the the stock video input. Card working fine under 2006 machine QC/Leopard Any guesses? |
@boya: The Kineme VideoTools
Video Input
patch only supports Firewire IIDC/DCAM-compliant cameras (the Blackmagic Intensity series is PCI, USB, and Thunderbolt), so VideoTools won't help you here.Have you tried running Quartz Composer in 32-bit mode?
Thanks,
I guess that might be the issue, new machine and all. Will try out later today.
I had a problem with audiotools not sending to proper (multiple) channels, a patch that did work in 10.6.5, 32-bit.
Do you think it might be the same issue? And will 32-bit slow my comp down? I am pushing six screen, and framerates for video pb are at their limits.
B
It works.
Blackmagic Decklink Intensity pro up and running in 32-bit.
I´be interested to hear if anyone has any idea wether moving from 64 to 32 would slow things down, as I am taking the show to France before I can try it out properly here.
No, it's not going to slow things down. You're less likely to run out of memory if something is leaking, I think (afaik). 32 bit is more than ample for what's going on in QC, and I think the 64 bit runtime is traditionally crappier, and has had more bugs.
Arguably. Hey, that's my take, and I welcome anyone with different experience or info to chime in.
thanks for the comfort :@)
