Triggering random image display by frequency

Hi guys, total noob to Quartz and would love some advice on something I’m trying to do. Basically I’d like to build a composition that picks and displays images from a folder. I can figure this part out but I want the images to be triggered by an audio source so when the audio hits a certain frequency an image is displayed. Also I would like the image to be chosen at random so the animation is not repetitive, is this something that is possible in Quartz? Many thanks.
