weird

did QuartzCrystal crash? Did you exit it? Is it/was it processing a complex composition? Did it finish eventually?

If QuartzCrystal (the GUI) crashes/gets force-quit, it might not always close down the renderer (so it'll continue until it finishes). Let me know if you can reproduce this any other way, so I can check it out.

Should the renderer quit automatically if the GUI gets force-quit?

quittage

How did you quit? (cmd-q? quit from the menu? etc)

When I quit with cmd-Q, it properly stops rendering, but if I force-quit, it doesn't get a chance to tell the renderer, to stop. If it was the latter (force-quit), that's expected, and I can change that in the next version. If it's the former (cmd-q), that's a bug, and I need to be able to reproduce it to address it.

that's a bug

quit with cmd-q....

thanks Daniele

hmm...

does it happen every time? or just that one time? Can you e-mail me the composition/settings you used?
