PNG alpha channel doesn't work in Snow Leopard G'day all I just upgraded my computer to Snow Leopard and now my PNGs with transparency only appear as black squares. I have attached a quartz file with a png embedded (I also included the image in case it didn't embed) and I have added a screen shot of what I see. I must be missing something here, but I can' see what it is. Any help would be grand Cheers Lango

Your composition works fine on my system ... I believe you need to upgrade your kineme gl tools plug to the latest version.
See attached png in SL.
Check you have the latest GLTools, the absence of this latest plugin and its older brother [earlier version] being still in use has been known to cause real graphical difficulties.
Search the Forum list for fairly recent , post SL posts precisely about this and other SL related matters, Lango and you'll be a happy bunny again :-), boom, boom.
Thanks for that. I'll try it again when i get home. Upgrading the kineme plugin didn't occur to me as I wasn't using any of the kineme patches.
You should check in both your home folder and the main Library/Graphics folder for hidden items

I will be adding the plugin back in, but i don't need it for this project (yet).
