This is a bit of a double post:

I'm posting a non-Value Historian version of this "Letter Noise" qtz that's based on Chris's sample for Freeboard, so that it can be pulled up from the Repository.

I think it's a neat twist on integrating audio reactivity and typography with one another. It needs Kineme3D as well as Freeboard to work.

Release: QuartzBuilder, v1.1

Release Type: Production
Version: 1.1
Release Notes

QuartzBuilder 1.1 features numerous performance enhancements, including a state-of-the-art Iterator Accelerator that reduces iterator overhead by 5-15% and streamlined event handling. You're also able to launch an app in fullscreen mode on any monitor of your choice, in addition to having screen count and dimensions provided to the composition at runtime. Drag and Drop support and fade-in/out on start up/exit options were also added, to make your apps really shine.

Automatic updating via Sparkle was added, and you're now able to explicitly install the QuartzBuilder Protocol template from the App Menu.

Iterator, 3D Object, Feedback and Interpolation study. Requires Kineme3D. The zipped archive contains AbeillesAzurées.qtz, Ribbon2.fbx and a ReadMe. Ribbon2.fbx must be kept in the same location/folder on your hard drive as AbeillesAzurées.qtz. This study incorporates patches and variations on patches from Iterator-Transparency.qtz located in the Conceptual folder of the Developer Compositions. My thanks to all the fine folks in the Kineme forums for their generous advice.

This is an example which illustrates using multiple Value Historian patches to record two separate "passes" of x/y data generated from a mouse, and how to control them both via external timebase, so that they loop together.

One pass was recorded using the Twister patch to deform the sphere generated by the Parametric Surface patch, and the other pass was recorded as an effective "spotlight" driving by mouse x/y, using the Lighting patch.

It also illustrates smoothing of performance data.
