Hi,

I had the pleasure of making visuals for Rovaniemi Theatre. The second half of "Hope's Operetta" is a visual concert and the theatre is willing to share the code under CC license. Now that's neat!

You can find the complete project files from: http://akuetmiila.favor.org/hope-s-operetta-----visuals---source

In a nutshell the project uses Kinect, RSS feeds, web image downloader, simple audio reactivity and some other features that might be interesting to someone. Few plugins from Vade, George Toledo and Kineme are used as well.

Massive thanks to Kineme and QC community again for making learning possible.

Ps. www.favor.org might be interesting to all of you.

kineme registration keys

dust's picture

was wondering if someone at kineme could email me my registration keys for quartz builder, quartz crystal, and kineme 3d. dustin.oconnor@gmail.com

it seems only chart tools is still available as a key under my/accounts/orders. i payed full price for quartz builder and quartz crystal and got kineme 3d a couple years ago at an introductory beta price. i have no problems paying any additional monies for a new version of k3d if that is needed.

i just added a new user to my computer and qc is requesting me to register again.

should i install kineme products into my hd/library/graphics folder instead of my home folder to avoid this in the future ?

Kineme Avatar Pictures

so i have noticed most everyone has changed there pictures to some kind of vector images. i'm not really a conformist or anything but are people making these little avatar images with QC ? thats what i am assuming didn't want to cheat if i made one ? any thoughts on this ? is it a bug everyone is catching or did you all get together one day and decide we are all going to change our avatar pics ?

Kineme Serial IO controlling 2 Atlona 8x1 switch

axlrecords's picture

Hi,

I'm try to controll 2 Atlona 8x1 switch with the beta-patch Serial IO: http://www.atlona.com/pdf/manuals/AT-HD-V81.pdf

I use a USB cable adapter to 2 x RS 232 with profilic chipset: http://www.manhattan-products.com/en-US/products/5130-convertitore-usb-a....

I install the driver for the adapter. As soon as I plug in the USB cable my Mac is asking to configure the new device. My Mac see the switch as a modem. So I did not any configuration in the network preferences. I launch the IORegistry Explorer to find out the IOCalloutDevice and the IODialinDevice wich are, in order:

/dev/cu.usbserial
/dev/cu.usbserial3 /dev/tty.usbserial /dev/tty.usbserial3

I use all this directory as a string, once at the time, in the device input of the serial IO patch, and put the data string "PORT 2", that is the command to switch to the 2nd input of the switcher, check the send signal, but nothing happened. Do I have to do any configuration in the network preference? Do I use a correct string for the device input?

Any help?
