brilliant Franz!! Can you elaborate a liitle more on the "Custom app, custom plugins" part :D

Re: V-Mirror

custom app: QCrenderer based application, with 3d simulation capabilities (of the overall setup + lighting + projected images + lasers + smoke) on the main screen + fullscreen output on the secondary screen (pixel precise LED panels). So the operator can compare the preview to the actual show, to see if something is going wrong, like the smoke not starting for instance. One massive QC patch containing all the visuals, synch'ed by midi from Ableton Live. Sending artnet signals as well.

custom plugins: a bunch of 1024 plugins, like circles, particles, stroboscope addressing plugin, math structure, vector font.... + one special "logic" plugin to control everything.

v002 plugins such as Rutt etra

KnM plugins such as GLtools + ArtNet + structure tools

Hope this clears things up a bit.

Re: V-Mirror

you rock franz. what fun your life must be. if you keep rocking like this i bet your app could become a club standard type of system. about time if you ask me... to have the audio, lights, and video all fused that is. i think people come for the music but you give them much more than just a musical experience cheers keep rocking it.

thxx.

yeah, you're right, people come for the music. However, electronic musician have almost all the same problem: a very small stage impact. They're not a band, it's just one guy with a computer (to generalize). So they need a little extra to attract more audience.

Re: V-Mirror

Cheers franz for the info!

I totally agree with dust! It was time for someone to have it all gathered in one app to easily control visuals/lasers/lighting/etc not only independently but also in relation with each other.

Brilliant:D

Re: V-Mirror

I have to say I find your work incredibly inspiring. I check your blog almost every day to see what new stuff you've done.

I'm trying to make the step to a "part-time" visualist, and it's stuff like yours that keeps me going.

Thanks again for what you do.
