Video Input doesn't see Blackmagic inputs on Mountain LionI've been using the Video Input patch with a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme (or UltraStudio 3D, or Mini Recorder) for some time. On the patch settings, I have to select the proper input mode, but it works great... on Lion. I've recently tried to doing this on Mountain Lion with no luck. On Mountain Lion, the Video Input patch only sees a single Blackmagic device, simply called Blackmagic. It no longer sees the individual input modes, which I had to select in Lion. The trouble is, that when I select the 'Blackmagic' device in Mountain Lion, the Video Input patch sees no input. How can I make the Blackmagic devices work with the Video Input patch on Mountain Lion? Thanks! Adam

I can confirm this too - capture works fine through blackmagic media express but in QC I can only see the same as Adam. I'm on 10.8.2 with a 2010 mac pro using an intensity pro and have tried downloading the latest version of the blackmagic software to see if it included updated firmware.
Hi Adam,
When you upgraded to 10.8 did you download the latest drivers from blackmagic and did they update the firmware on the card?

Did you find a solution because I am experiencing the same issue with both a Matrox MXO2mini and AJA ioExpress capture devices? The device is also inaccessible in QuicktimeX as an input device under Mountain Lion.
Old topic I know, but since a few days (I just upgrade from Lion to Mavericks) I notice the same problem : In Video Input patch I can't see anymore sources I've used to work with before, such as :
Anyone have solved this issue ?
Thanks, regards
Alain
The videotools plugin from kineme has a blackmagic capture node which works for those devices - also make sure your opening qc in 32 bit mode
In fact I was referring to cwilms's post, I've no Blackmagic but a Matrox MXO2.
I'll start a new post right now to clarify.
