Mesh Creator and Javascript

jersmi's picture

In my ongoing study modifying the developer example Mouse Ribbon patch, I would like to learn a couple things:

  1. How to output normals for lighting.
  2. How to output textures and texture coordinates. I'd like to know the possibilities and limits for textures using this method.

Finally, can anyone suggest reading material to get up to date on understanding the mesh creator? (I know just enough about 3D to cause trouble, but not enough to create useful stuff in QC). I know I am behind the tim with the curve leaning towards openCL, but I'm learning quite a bit exploring this patch, and I'll be happy to share if I get anything that's not terrible.

Re: Mesh Creator and Javascript

I would like some enlightenment about this as well. Parametric surfaces are tricky. Look at the attachment (requires Kineme 3D), I create a hemisphere and texture it with a radial grid, BUT the texture is screwed once mapped to the 3D object? Can anyone help, maybe better with the Mesh tools? Thx, Volker
