Viewer problem Lately I've been having a really annoying problem where I can't resize the viewer window because it's too big to access the size dropdown. It seems to load all my old comps with viewers this size now and I cant do anything about it. I even managed to make the viewer top bar disappear completely somehow so i couldnt even drag it around. How do I change this? and how do i set a default size for it to open to? Atm I have to hook up to a 1920 monitor (which i dont have) to be able to resize.

Open the composition in Property List Editor, and you should see a key in the root called
editorViewerWindow. Either delete this key, or modify its coordinates to appear onscreen (the third and fourth coordinates are width and height, respectively).In addition...
In special prefs (option+preferences), enable "editPrivateMetadata". This will present you with this option inside of QC after you enable this. Whenever you wish to manipulate this info, from then on, you can choose "Edit Information", and you will have this field present in your drop down.
Smokris's tip is 100% fine and correct, I just prefer to not involve a secondary app, since QC has this functionality (though hidden).
As a matter of fact, at one point there was a whole hierarchy browser for the graph that got removed, because Apple must think that's too complex or overwhelming for QC users (the reason for abandonment is conjecture on my part, but this is clearly visible even in some Apple created films from WWDC). One can see the icon for this still hidden inside of the QC app. It's too bad, because it keeps a feeling of QC "being" the QC editor app, when it's just an app that enables editing the graph, that works with the file type.
