Output Power

Hello,

Similar to my post about outputting the frame rate of the composition to any device, is there a way to output the power remaining (seconds, percent, etc) of a computer as well?

I looked and there seemed to be no indication of such a patch. Would it be safe to say another java patch could be a way to output this info?

Re: Output Power

Would http://kineme.net/release/PowerInfo/01 do what you are asking for?

Re: Output Power

Ahh can't believe I missed that one!

This is totally what I was looking for! Thanks Kineme and Cybero.

So What about multiple devices it says in the description? I tried connecting my iPhone via cable and adHoc network but no listing in the patch. Does "simultaneous power sources" include any devices such as these?

Thanks

Re: Output Power

I'll leave Kineme to elaborate upon the multiple power sources situation.

It's looking for AC power sources directly linked into the running of the computer, such as UPS and AC powered equipment, but so far as I know, doesn't support adhoc network enquiries.

I think that might refer to when there's scenario like with a laptop that has something like a battery (one device) and the direct wall connect (another device). At least in energy preferences, they come up differently, and let you have different defaults.

Re: Output Power

Correct: battery and power supply. iOS device power is reported via an unpublished protocol.
