Release Notes

Hot on the heals of the previous WiiMote Control is this very new beta. Shortly after releasing yesterday's version, I gutted it and reimplemented the connect/disconnect parts.

Cool New Things:

  • Force Feedback support
  • LED Control
  • Bluetooth timeout error is now handled, and appropriate cleanup/restart action is taken behind the scenes to expand the 15 second window indefinitely [didn't quite work]
  • Hopefully more stable

can´t connect

great that you back on wii. but this version did not connect. the previous from 1.12. is ok.

console output

Can you fire up console.app and tell me what the output is? You may need to try a few times (yesterdays and todays are pretty picky), and try to be quick about it -- the framework doesn't clean up after itself fast enough sometimes still...

Safe Mode

Looks like this run was in some kind of safe mode setting (usually Safari or QuickTime will be in safe mode). That might have also been a cause of it not working.

Note the *** Patch class "WiiMoteControlPatch" is not allowed in safe mode line.

Did you attempt connecting at that point? Does the rendering stall for about 1 second when you start the wiimote?

Glad it's working for you. I've got another beta lined up, not sure if I'll release today or tomorrow though... I'll try to add safemode support too, while I'm at it.

Installation Instructions

Place the plugin file in
/Users/[you]/Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Patches/
(Create the folder if it doesn't already exist.)
