This is a scene made with QuartzComposer. I wanted the geometry to be as minimalistic as possible and still convey the feel of an outdoor setting on 3 axes.

Hi,

I had the pleasure of making visuals for Rovaniemi Theatre. The second half of "Hope's Operetta" is a visual concert and the theatre is willing to share the code under CC license. Now that's neat!

You can find the complete project files from: http://akuetmiila.favor.org/hope-s-operetta-----visuals---source

In a nutshell the project uses Kinect, RSS feeds, web image downloader, simple audio reactivity and some other features that might be interesting to someone. Few plugins from Vade, George Toledo and Kineme are used as well.

Massive thanks to Kineme and QC community again for making learning possible.

Ps. www.favor.org might be interesting to all of you.

I did a little mashup of my upload from yesterday.

I have it creating a normal map on the fly, making it's own lighting using greyscale procedural feedback trails/particles, doing a low-rent volumetric light thing, and working with multitouch.

You'll need kineme multitouch patch, and the normalmap_gt plugin from my page (georgetoledo.com).

It's semi 10.5 compatible. One of the particle systems/iterator combo's uses smooths inside... that won't work the same in 10.5, but the rest of it generally will.

QCMeshTools.plugin/QCMeshValidate

Super simple plugin patch, don't let the main name fool you. Returns a 1 if a valid QCMesh is attached to the input port, a 0 other wise.

It was mainly a test of how to use a QCMesh input to "do stuff", and this seemed like a good square one.

This is a type of time blur, powered by the iterator.

There are settings to turn the image monochrome (b/w), as well as to introduce a non time lagged mirror image. It also allows all black content to be replaced with another color.
