Image with String & Dingbat fonts

cybero's picture

Although the Image with String patch can and does render Ornamental fonts and Dingbat fonts correctly, it does not show the Web and Wing dings correctly, just as plain letters that they are meant to be mapped to.

I'm sure that these used to work in 10.5.x.

Perhaps it too can be locally resolved or perhaps it is a an update issue.

Mesh Normals & Mesh Vertices Display

cybero's picture

Might be a really dumb question, but am I alone in not getting the Mesh Normals Display to work whatsoever.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but although I can get good results from the Mesh Vertices Display, the Mesh Normals just doesn't render.

Is it a patch awaiting a Mesh input port :-) ?

v002 Rutt Etra version 2

3d Audio Graphical construction.

Example video - offline render in Quartz Crystal then resynced in GarageBand with an original audio doodle using GarageBand's in built atmosphere loops.

another example , using the posted DAE.

When I get to bring in Live Input with reliability, I'll be exploiting that Audio Tools facility.

Excuse the file size - caused mainly by the .wav file that 3D Sound Player uses [ the .aiff format was no smaller].

Exploits v002 Rutt Etra, DAE Meshes, Render in Image, 3D Transform.

I'm looking forward to engineering a Particles Tools based and Kineme3D Tools based equivalent to this.

Render In Image | GLSL | OpenCL | v002

cybero's picture

I've been lately seeking to get some good results using Meshes within Render in Image to then be further processed via v002 Rutt Extra. Although the input line shows a rendering image when RII is set to 2D [textured or not], the rendering of all imagery ceases at such a setting and can only be obtained using a Rectangle setting.

There seems to be a bit of incompatibility twixt GLSL Shaders and Mesh Renderers too, although I'm pretty sure I've discovered a quick and dirty workaround for that.

Please find attached the music visualizer protocol version. It employs the otherwise automatically jiggly mesh construction , v002 Rutt Extra & a .dae that I've also attached for completeness.

I'll be uploading the GLSL problem example later today :-) That one employs v002 Optical Flow.

I hasten to add that these compositions can be easily modified to work by means of not trying to 2D the RII or juxtaposing a Mesh Renderer anywhere near, above or to the side of a GLSL Shader patch.

P.S

As it happens the GLSL problem seems to be entirely dependent upon the kind of shader that is employed to reproduce the problem referred to as I now have textured Meshes via GLSL shading

Kineme Core 0.5.1 not recognized - iMac i7 - OS10.6.2

Hi,

Just got a new i7 and I was dying to try out all the QC4 stuff Ive been missing out on.

The installer put the kineme core plugin in the correct location with admin priv: /library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins

Tried rebooting, reinstalling, but still no K menu.

I also tried manually moving the plugin to my library folder, but no love there either.

Not sure if it helps, but I was able to install KinemeGL Tools with no problem at all.

Any Clues?

thanks Matthew
