bass freq 3d writing

dust's picture

im having troubles queueing this vertex structure in parallel does anyone know how to get the "queue structure in parallel" working ?

so far this patch takes the bass frequencies and creates my mesh verts for me. its pretty cool as it is with just the bass, now imagine mids and hi eq etc... my problem is i don't think i will be able to pull off two more meshes unless i queue in parallel. do you think this is parallel solution. i would like to get 3 specturm bands all writing in 3d space at the same time.

any help would be great this takes audio input to work...

This is a test application that allows one to set 4 (or more) points, using trackpad or mouse, that define an "intelligent", motion tracking, dissolve region, 2 finger (or secondary) click for a reset of the points.

The concept is that one can have a video feed, or picture, and intelligently select regions that one wants to have effected by various CI filters. This is a basic implementation.

Let me know if anyone runs into any trouble with it - It should work fine in Leopard or Snow Leopard.

After a great deal of testing of the shadow patch, I wanted to make a basic composition with it that showed it in a nice light, using only built in shapes. I realized that the Replicate In Space will work with the shadow engine in a way that that Iterated objects do not, though I found some aberrations in setting this up using a cube surrounding, particular face culling settings, and certain 3D transform settings that I'm still fleshing out. The cube surrounding did not make the cut because of this!

I was trying to be a bit minimal and stark with this, and also tweak the shadow engine in a way that wouldn't look too heavy handed.

This is needs 10.6, and needs no plug-ins; it's a bit of a "stock patch" study.

Force patch demo composition

Here's a little demo composition I put together that shows how to use the Force patch (new to Snow Leopard.) It's not very well documented, but you should be able to figure it out by looking at it. Plus, it's kind of fun to play with, if nothing else. Enjoy!

This is a twisted twist on the BuildingLoop composition I last uploaded.

This uses Kineme3D (the most recent beta) and Texture Tools... it should work on Leopard or Snow (save for if one was to enable the new shadow effect in the Lighting, which doesn't work with iterated objects... bug filed with Apple on that already).

It takes the city scene, and uses the Kineme3D to generate a Height Field that can then be warped.
